Ask Alison

My coworker Nicola and I have had some fun this year illustrating common English phrases in photographic form. Guess the phrase was a weekly competition on our Facebook group at CREC! I’ll be posting them here over the next few weeks.

Putting all your eggs in one basket means to not spread the risk, instead committing everything to one possibility. As in “María had all her savings in the business, so when it failed she lost everything. She really shouldn’t have put all her eggs in one basket.”

Ask Alison is a free proofreading service I offer to my coworkers so they can avoid those little mistakes that can spoil the professional image they want to project to their clients.

Any suggestions for future phrase photos are welcome! And if you need a photographer, get in touch with Nicola.
