This blog is named after the bone that you’ll find at the inside of your ankle, the medial malleolus. It’s the knobbly bit at the bottom of the shin bone.
At the end of September 2001, I dislocated my right ankle and snapped this bone. They had to screw it back together. Ow.
But I always loved the sound of the words and thought it would make a good band name! Unfortunately, I don’t sing or play an instrument, so it’s the name of my blog instead.
Plus, I’m really fascinated by the musculoskeletal system and I’ll be writing about what I discover about movement, biomechanics, posture, so it seemed appropriate too. I’m sorry if it’s difficult to spell or remember. Blame Latin.
