La Casa de Verano

Valeria Bruni Tedeschi, France/Italy, 2018

Nice enough, but utterly forgettable, really. It was good language practice, though it took my brain a while to make sense of hearing French and Italian but reading Spanish (which Romance language are we doing here?!).

But otherwise, it was a fairly unremarkable bourgeois family at their villa on the côte d’azure for the summer. Some lust, some heartbreak, some dark secrets, but not enough of anything.
